At New State Pictures, we believe in the transformative power of storytelling. Our chosen stories aim to challenge the status quo, spur innovation, and provoke learning.

We are driven to breathe life into stories that inspire a new state of mind.

Who we are

Ana Emdin is the founder and director of New State Pictures. With a keen eye for literary talent and a passion for storytelling, Ana's focus is on discovering and developing projects that push creative boundaries and break established narratives. She has secured options for titles that went on a Booker Prize longlist and won Yale's Windham-Campbell Prize.
